We spent Easter weekend in Vernal with John's family. We had such a great time playing Wii bowling, 4-wheeling, shooting guns, and visiting.
We celebrated Chandra's birthday and she shared her Fairy costume with Nikki. She is such a sweet girl. Nikki and John's birthday were also celebrated with present giving and birthday cake or banana cream pie (John's favorite) for everyone. Nikki and Caleb were constantly fighting over toys and the new rocking horse Grandpa gave Nikki was a hot commodity. We dyed eggs, colored place mats and did paper iris folding. Cristy had so many things to keep the kids busy and happy, she is just completely amazing!
Carma bought the daughters "Sexy Aprons"..... gotta look good in the kitchen! Nikki had her first Easter Egg Hunt; she was a little unsure about picking the cold plastic eggs from the grass and ended up with only a few. Brax really got into finding all the eggs that were hidden in more difficult places. Grandma Carma found some really cool balloons that were shaped like dragons, pigs, frogs and other animals. They were kind of creepy which Braxton always likes. Nikki had a really funny reaction when the air blew out on her face from the balloons- hands up, nose scrunched, it was really cute.
Brax, Nikki and the dogs slept the whole drive home after constantly playing with their cousins. It was a fantastic weekend and so nice to have a quick getaway and see John's family.
