John made big plans when he proposed to me and
suprised me with a night at Anniversary Inn. We wanted to continue this tradition every year. The first couple years, we stayed a night there on the actual (or closed to) night he proposed, which was December 16
th. Since this is so close to Christmas, this last year we bumped it to our actual wedding anniversary October 7
th.
The room we stayed in was The Sun Valley Suite. It had a cabin theme with a patio, outhouse, fireplace and log bed. There was also a water fall into the rock walled tub. Anniversary Inn does such a great job decorating their rooms, every little touch makes you feel like you are actually experiencing a new place. We did decide that this would not be a good room for newlyweds due to the outhouse not being very private but with 3 married years + 2 dating years behind our relationship, it didn't bother us much.
