Back to Work

I went back to work this last week. It was very difficult to leave Nikki. Tuesday (July 1st) was the hardest, tears at the daycare and tears on the drive to work. I left work early Tuesday night to discuss her day with Laura (the woman that watches her at the daycare). When I arrived, she was all bundled up and peacefully sleeping... I was so relieved. Laura seems so nurturing and attentive. Wednesday was a little easier and Thursday even more so. I was very busy at work which helped the days go by fast and kept my mind off being away from Nikki. I enjoy working and being back does feel "normal".
